Founded by Beth Wong, Gishiki Flora is a floral studio rooted in ritual and intention.

After a decade working in interior design and homewares, I began to shift my focus toward events. I’ve always been fascinated by the way a space can be transformed, to reflect a person, a celebration, or the rhythm of our daily rituals. Over time, that desire to create became more tactile. I felt a growing pull to work with my hands, and that led me to floristry, which felt expressive, and full of possibility. What started as curiosity has blossomed into Gishiki Flora, a space where floral design becomes its own quiet ritual.

Each arrangement is made with care and intention, a gentle celebration of slow, sustainable beauty. Gishiki Flora is proudly foam-free, honouring the earth and every stem. Thank you for inviting me into your moments, from quiet offerings and intimate gatherings, to a celebration in full bloom. I hope to create something that feels as special as flowers do!

So, why the name?

The Japanese word "Gishiki" (儀式) literally means "ceremony" or "ritual”.

There’s something deeply romantic about the way Japanese culture allows nature and human artistry to exist in quiet conversation. Nothing feels overworked, yet everything sings with intention. Beauty isn’t just found, it’s gently shaped. From moss-covered zen gardens and bonsai trees, to ikebana, there’s a quiet harmony between the wild and the hand-crafted. I see that same balance in floristry, where each stem, each placement, becomes a small dialogue between nature and care.

This philosophy, paired with my love for everyday rituals, sits at the heart of what I do. Gishiki Flora exists to seek intentional beauty, honour transformation, and bring a sense of mindfulness and joy, whether in your daily rhythms or your most meaningful celebrations!

I hope my blooms feel like they’ve come from a Studio Ghibli garden, a little whimsical, a little wild, and full of quiet magic. xx
